One-on-One with Tyrieshia Douglas

With a 25-2 record, DC native Tyrieshia Douglas believes she is ready to show the world what she can do. The 22-year-old boxer is training to compete in London next year for the 2012 Summer Olympics. It will be the first time the Olympics will feature female boxing.

Painter Mark Cottman gives huevoicesdotcom's Bobby Marvin a tour through his gallery and talks about his fundraiser for ConneXions Academy of Art, a charter school for Baltimore youth interested in excelling in the arts. The fundraiser will be held at Mark Cottman Gallery, Friday, February 25th and features include comedian/actress Rain Pryor, daughter of legendary Richard Pryor, comedian Koli Tengella along with live music by acoustic guitarist Karter Jaymes, former member of Teddy Pendergrass' band. Admission is $50 with half of the proceeds going to Rain Pryor's upcoming production of August Wilson's Gem of the Ocean starring students from ConneXions' performing arts program.
