NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul participated in a summer league exhibition game at Morgan State University's Talmadge L. Hill Field House in Baltimore. Wearing the green jerseys,Anthony(#30), James(#10), and Paul(#31) played for Kurk Lee's League from Baltimore. Durant (#22) led the Goodman League from Washington, D.C. Kurk Lee won the game 149-141.

One-on-One with Marsha Jews

An author, business consultant, and avid volunteer, Marsha Jews has built a strong reputation in Baltimore with ties in the profit and non-profit sectors. Recently she won the opportunity to host her own talk show on the public radio station, WEAA 88.9 FM. Bobby Marvin interviewed Jews on the talent contest and her show, "Keep It Moving"w/ Marsha Jews, officially set to launch on September 19.

McElderry Park Community residents came out to enjoy "The Last Taste of Summer Festival". The East Baltimore community block party was presented by the East Monument Main Street Merchants and included the McElderry Park Community Association and the Safe Streets East program. The event featured live entertainment, face painting and a back to school drive.
Safe Streets East Director Gardnell Carter spoke on the event and what it meant to the community.
